This is a one off resource for National Poetry Day 2024 which allows students to have fun with Haiku style poems. There are several tasks, culminating in students creating their own Haiku poems. Activities include thinking about poems in general, understanding the rules of Haiku poems, looking at examples and finally writing thier own.
This resource will suit all ages and abilities! It’s lots of fun, and the resource can also be used in a cross curricular way to include Art, as students are encouraged to consider the format, style, layout and design of the Haiku poem they are creating
