This Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind Movie Guide | Environmentalism | Pacifism | Google (NR - 1984) challenges students analyze this classic film from Ghibli Studios. Discuss what can be learned from comparing the Pejites and Torumekians. Examine the role of female characters in the film. Analyze the effects that rage has on characters throughout the film and extrapolate what can be learned from these findings. Finally, explore the concepts of environmentalism and pacifism in the context of Nausicaä’s character.

This resource consists of 12 high-level, short answer and essay questions that will do more than just ask your students to regurgitate information.
