This lesson explores how Hitler established a totalitarian regime in Germany following his appointment as Chancellor in 1933. It covers key events such as the Reichstag Fire, the Enabling Act, and the Night of the Long Knives. Activities include analysing primary sources, completing timelines, and discussing the consolidation of power. Students will gain insights into the methods used by the Nazis to eliminate opposition and secure control through various interactive tasks.
