This material is suitable for Year 10 and 11 GCSE /IGCSE edexcel students.
It covers the following, data transfer and the factors influencing the speed; latency, broadband, convergence, mobile connectivity, wire and wireless communications – wifi, Bluetooth, infra-red, NPC, GPS, 3G and 4G, tethering; Internet protocols – http(s), IP, MAC as well as ISP, browser, search engines, servers, gateway, booster, etc; Network components; filtering- whitelist/blacklist; LAN – peer-to-peer, client server, their benefits; network security- encryption, firewall, file access right, VPN, backups, transaction logs, etc
This interactive resource assesses students learning at interval. There are six slides activities within the presentation channeled toward their final examination.
The presentation covers between 90 to 95% of the edexcel connectivity content of the current specification.
