This resource contains a fully editable and informative 105-slide PowerPoint presentation on New Year’s Eve and New Year celebrations, customs and traditions in different countries around the world. It is ideal for a New Year assembly. The presentation focuses on the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Denmark, Ecuador, Estonia, France, Greece, Hungary, Japan, Panama, Philippines, Romania, Scotland, Spain, Turkey, USA.

The presentation concludes with asking the pupils the following questions:

How do you celebrate the New Year?
Which country would you like to visit at New Year and why?

Really informative PP presentation. A great resource for showcasing not only traditions, but also religious festivals. Slides are not overburdened with information and images used are helpful for prompting class discussion and feedback. Thank you for sharing!
