This resource was designed to support Key Stage 4 English Literature students following the CCEA specification and studying the novella ‘Of Mice and Men.’ There are 20 weeks of activities in which students use the booklet to complete cloze exercises to recall and retain key quotations for each character and theme. There are also 10 essay questions with key vocabulary included to help students develop their ideas and argument.
The PowerPoint contains all the answers to the quotation retrieval so can be used to support students’ self/peer assessment. As such this is a resource which can be used as a weekly homework/lesson and encourages students’ early revision ahead of their exam; fosters their independent study skills and requires no marking from their teacher.
