Of Mice and Men Roll the Dice Discussion Board Revision Activity

An interesting and engaging revision activity for Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. The board contains 36 different questions that cover characters, plot and themes and allows students to work in pairs or small groups while revising their knowledge of the novella.

Some of the questions on the board include:

• With reference to the text, describe George.
• Explain how the theme of friendship is explored throughout the novella.
• With reference to the text, explain how Steinbeck uses foreshadowing throughout the novella.

How to use:

1. The student rolls the dice
2. Using the discussion board the student finds the corresponding question.
3. The student either answers the question or uses it as a basis for discussion.
4. The student crosses off the question and the next student repeats the process.
