This is a lesson covering the Cambridge Stories of Ourselves - Of white hairs and cricket, by Rohinton Mistry.

This is a full lesson -with scope to cover two if required - Provided in word and PowerPoint, both of which are editable, if required.

This lesson is easy to follow and could therefore be used as a ‘last-minute’ lesson, or even a ‘cover lesson’ - if required - as the all of the information and answers tasks is included - all you need to do is print it.

The lesson contains student three handouts containing information about Mistry, and a summary of the text.
A one page easy to follow lesson plan
A comprehensive set of teacher support notes that provide answers and information to the questions set. This information is on a word document and and PowerPoint to share with students.
Student tasks - discussion, practical (identify key poetic skills used) Q&A.
End of lesson short paragraph writing task.
A 500 word analysis exercise where students are to find quotes that match the points raised in the analysis essay.
