Used for a Year 7 class to teach the order of operations starting with the basics of just adding/subtracting and multiplying/dividing. I found this a useful way to introduce the topic, as from experience, students struggle to understand why they can sometimes perform subtraction before addition, when this is taught as BIDMAS alone.
Included is a song if you click on the smiley face picture - it is very catchy - my year 7 girls have been known in previous years to dance to the track…
Also included is a self-assessment rubric that could be used near the end of your teaching/before any assessment of the topic.
