An introduction to Olympic sports that can be used for TEFL or younger English learners, especially ESL learners. This resource uses the official Olympics site (link provided). There are some sports vocabulary games and activities based on pictures. Suitable for small classes and individual tuition. The Powerpoint can be used as a stand-alone lesson or as part of a bundle of 4 lessons that follow on from each other.
Activities include: Identifying Olympic sports from an image, an introduction to equipment used to play different sports, taboo, a discussion activity regarding which sports should be included in the Olympics.
