This is a mini case study of three lessons around the Peterloo Massacre of 1819 in Manchester. It focuses on using first hand and second hand accounts to view contrasting opinions and interpretations of the event. There is also opportunitiy to examine Shelley’s 'The Masque of Anarchy. Then the work of the historian Robert Reid is also examined.
