I am a teacher who has worked with SEND pupils, especially those with literacy problems. I have also taught English as a foreign language. For several years I worked with Easylearn publishers, developing resources for children struggling with English and Maths. I am one of the creators of the Froggy Match-it phonics app, which helps beginner readers to learn to read and spell effectively.
These 10 free worksheets cover several phonic skills: cvc words; words ending in -ck, -ll, -ss, -ng; sh and ch; and various long vowel phonemes, e.g. ee, oa, ar and oo etc.
The sheets were designed to accompany the Froggy Match-it phonics app at levels 1 to 4, but can be used by any children learning phonics.
The pdf consists of 10 worksheets, each with the same format. Children have to identify the odd one out, often a word or picture with a different medial vowel sound, and then write their own words with certain sounds in them.

This would be a fantastic resource for my More Able SEN children but the pictures do not match up with the words and they found it very confusing. Possibly an issue with the format saved here. I enjoy all your other work though.

Sorry to hear there have been some problems with these sheets. The words and pictures are not meant to match up, although I can see that it could be confusing because several of my other free Easylearn sheets do involve word-picture matching . There are 5 rows of either words or pictures on each page and the instruction at the top asks the pupil to 'Ring the odd one out in each of the 5 rows across.' I hope that helps.
