These ‘build a word’ flashcards allow little learners to build words in line wit the phonics they’re studying, ranging from CVC words to letter blends with digraphs and trigraphs, taking ownership of their early reading skills and development. The phonics flashcards consist of 32 A4 pages, downloaded as a pdf, and contain:
5 pages of vowels
3 of each consonant
full pages of each of the following, ed, tch, ch, sh, es, ly, ing, er, est, ck, ght, ear, air, th, ng, e, ss, ll, kn, nk, wh and qu.
Each set of cards have been designed in colours to make sorting easier. You can choose to mix all of the blends or just have learners working on some to build words.
