Phonics practise - Real and psuedo words in phonics families

This resource supports the children in learning to read words using phonics. Each double sided sheet focuses on one phoneme at a time. The phoneme is highlighted in red on the first page in both the real and pseudo words to enable the children to easily identify the sound and progresses onto one colour on the second page (reverse) to allow the children to apply their understanding.
These can be used during phonics lessons, intervention groups or for homework. They are written in Word in Sassoon Primary Infant and are editable to enable you to make more resources to support your teaching. (If you are using a different font, you may need to move the arch on the split digraph sheets)
This resource can be used by both teachers and parents.
