An activity to encourage independent analysis and interpretation of poetry. Works well when studying a cluster of poems and students have annotated a few poems already. Throughout the activity students do not speak but communicate on paper in a , 'silent discussion.' This is designed for, ' Born yesterday,' by Philip Larkin and 'Sister Maude,' by Christina Rossetti, but can be adapted for any poems.
