Illustrated pop to the shop rhyme with A4 Colour flash cards to elicit words.
Instructions:
- Read the poem to learners.
- Distribute handout with poem and read together (whole class).
- Use flash cards to elicit words.
- Recite poem together using flash cards as a prompt for learners to do a vocal ‘gap fill’ exercise reciting the missing words.
- Role play shop keeper and customer with realia, toy objects or flashcards representing shop goods.
