This is a jailbreak task/activity/game I ran with my top set Year 8 class. It's comprised of a series of maths-based puzzles, which small teams (around 3) solve together using equipment such as meter rulers, scales and so on. The powerpoint is just a bit of background for fun (jaws theme tune and so on). You will need a blueprint for a jail so the kids can figure out how long it will take them to break through walls and so on - try Google Images, they have some nice Canadian ones.
