This is a workbook designed for SEN or Less Able students on the properties of different Materials.
1st lesson is on how a material feels and looks.
The students then do a series of experiments against the key properties - Transparent, waterproof, absorbent, strong, weak, flexible, rigid, hard, magnetic, conductor, and insulator.
For example is it transparent- can you see through it? waterproof - does it not soak up water? absorbent - does it soak up water? - magnetic - can a magnetic stick to it? Conductor - Will it light up a bulb? If no then its an insulator.
After that the students must describe the properties of each material, and answer a series of questions about the material.
