This lesson introduces the patterns and maths behind the amazing Pythagorean Tree.
Print off the worksheet and dotted paper (make sure the printer option has no scaling then the dots remain as 5mm)
Start the lesson by showing the ppt.
At a basic level the lesson is to follow the procedure and draw the tree.
The higher level is to fill in the worksheet and spot the patterns and make predictions.
The optional top level is to find the formulas.
Either way, the lesson provides a great introduction to fractuals and produces some accessible and interesting sequences.
