This bundle has tests for ‘Higher’ 1 - 10 (followed by tests complete with the answers).

These tests/ worksheets are designed to be used as a non-calculator test, although it could be renamed to become a homework sheet. Depending on the class ability and level of difficulty I suggest giving 8 - 12 minutes for the test and then about 5 minutes to discuss some of the answers and methods.

**These Quick 20 Higher tests are suitable for top ability classes in years 8, 9, 10 and 11. For even more challenge I will upload ‘Quick 20 Higher Prep tests’, for middle/ lower sets try the ‘Quick 20 Foundation level’. **

Questions in this Higher bundle are on various topics including: arithmetic including with fractions and mixed numbers, BIDMAS, indices, converting percentages, multiplying decimals, algebraic substitution and simplifying, speed/ distance/ time, probability, factors, standard form (with some calculations), Pythagoras’, some averages with range and IQR plus a few ‘wild card’ maths general knowledge questions thrown in for fun!

The level of difficulty gradually builds over time with plenty of interleaving of topics and when I introduce some higher level topics I balance this with a few easier questions to compensate. I test my classes weekly to improve memory recall and the pupils seem to enjoy the competitive aspect of it.
