Reading, Writing, and Comparing Numbers – Playlist and Teaching Notes

In this playlist, students explore standard 4.NBT.A.2. They learn how to read and write numbers through base-ten numerals, expanded form, and number names and how to compare multi-digit numbers. Students look at examples, visuals, and instructions of how to use place-value charts and base-ten blocks to understand the value of digits in numbers. They also look at examples, visuals, and instructions of how to use place value to write numbers in different forms, such as expanded form.
