Recycled Collage Bottle Spring Flowers

The students will celebrate the return of spring (March 20th) and recognize the value of recycling by constructing plastic water bottle flowers that bloom from a newspaper to show that when we recycle, we give new life to the planet for the next generation! They will also incorporate colorful magazine pieces of their choice for the petals and use beans for the seeds to show the life cycle of a plant. They will realize that they can make a difference in this world by recycling and giving a face and voice to the movement to help preserve the planet. A learning objective, subject summary and application in real life, materials needed for each student and the step by step directions needed to create this lesson are all detailed in each of my lesson plans.
