A basic, key stage 3 lesson (intended for low-ability) on resistance in circuits. Focusses on the meaning of resistance in circuits and how resistance can be increased/decreased. Includes a nice practical modelling activity, where pupils act as electrons moving between two tables (the wire) to model how length of wire and current affect resistance. Can easily be made more challenging by including a circuits practical where pupils measure voltage and current to calculate resistance. You could further increase the challenge by providing an Ohm’s law calculations worksheet.
