Revision Index Numbers

Revision - This resource is a lesson plan for Year 8 Maths teachers who teach Index Numbers (Index Laws), specifically, the same base multiplication and division, power 0 and power of power. It will help you teach a smooth lesson even if you do not have a strong mathematical background. Just run the PowerPoint.

How to use it

The lesson format is in PowerPoint file. There are symbols to prompt certain actions in the lesson. They have the following meanings:
• W: Write from the board
• I DO – Teacher does the question (step by step solution).
• WE DO – Teacher prompts students to participate, ask questions and help them with solution where it is necessary.
• YOU DO – Students work independently.
