Separating mixtures

Starter which gets the pupils to match up the words; atom, element, compound, mixture and molecule to their meanings. Element, compound and mixture cards which I give to each pupil and get them to stand in different places in the classroom based on whether they think that they have an element/compound/mixture. Powerpoint to set the scene for the pupils - they have a tool kit which they must use to separate 4 different mixtures.
