This is a 3 lesson scheme of work for She Walks in Beauty. Rough lesson plan as follows...

Lesson 1 - Context and content

Pupils get a glimpse of a test, then have to make picture only notes on Lord Byron, Romanticism and She Walks In Beauty using the "Lord Byron Fact File" as source material. They then take the test.

Pupils read the poem and highlight words they don't understand, which they then research on iPads and using a dictionary.

Lesson 2 - Annotations

Pupils have several minutes to pick out all the features in a stanza, before then copying a detailed version from the board. This is done stanza by stanza.

Lesson 3 - PEA practice

Pupils practise PEA paragraphs through modelling, scaffolding and peer assessment exercises which show progress.

Extensions - Can be added for higher ability classes.

Two activities are included for making comparisons. One is a discussion exercise and the other is to be completed on sugar paper, where pupils make a spider diagram showing the similarities and differences between the poems.

A good starting point. I don't think there are 3 lessons, more like 2.
