This is a short story based on Where The Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak.
The original story is great for stories in imaginary settings, but doesn’t involve much in the way of punctuation.
This story is 1 A4 side, so perfect for a model text or WAGOLL. It takes the story of Max and uses lots of the phrases from the story but adapts it.
This time, Max argues with his brother, which is why he is sent to his room. A mountain grows in his room, which he climbs and then finds the Wild Things. Instead of making him a king, they throw him in prison. Will Max escape?
