This fun matching game/activity on simplifying radicals with two variables contains 12 challenging problems. Students simplify each of the given radical expressions. Their solutions are written on 12 of 14 dolphins and whales images. When students arrive at a correct answer, they “make a friend with the dolphin/whale” having this answer written on it. It is said that two dolphins are not friendly. Students have to find them out.
The activity can be used individually or in pairs.
Student recording sheet and answer keys are included.
