Children move around a game board, when they land on a suffix they must select an adjective word card and copy the word onto their whiteboard before adding the suffix to it. The first child to write down six correctly spelled words wins.
Prompt cards that remind the children of some of the spelling rules are provided to be used alongside the game.
The game is designed to allow children to rehearse adding -er and -est to verbs with long vowel sounds and one syllable verbs with a short vowel sound.
