This is a set of 6 pictures where children can apply their ability to subitise while practicing their number bonds to 5 and having fun at the same time. The set is offered both in order and in a random one, so you can choose how you prefer to use it with your class.

Children will need to decide how they see 5 on each picture and how they see it.
This activity will help to promote children’s perceptual subitising skills and composition of number 5 knowledge, encouraging mathematical discussion and increasing their speaking skills as well.

Use this presentation in as many ways as you can think of :
-On a screen or interactive whiteboard as part of a maths lesson,
-Printed to turn them into an independent maths activity/station where children can talk to each other about what they see in these pictures and how they see it,
-During their snack break time, etc.
