Successful KS3 Interview Lesson - The Art of Rhetoric

These are the resources for a 50 minute interview lesson. My lesson was with a Year 7 mixed ability class on the subject of ‘the art of rhetoric’. In the session, students are introduced to a variety of rhetorical devices and are given the opportunity to use them in their own persuasive writing. The plan requires students to work individually, in pairs and in groups, and differentiation is accounted for. The resources could quite easily be adapted for older classes.

The lesson was well received by students and observing staff, and I got the job!
