The BFG Vocabulary Activities

The BFG — The Big Friendly Giant by Roald Dahl, is a story about
a kind, gentle giant who can be found every night blowing good dreams through the bedroom windows of sleeping children.
Use these vocabulary activities before, during or after reading this amazing novel.
Included are 4 word searches (answer sheets included) of the vocabulary words found throughout the novel.
A sentence writing sheet and word sort sheet are also included. These sheets could be used by the students after completing the word searches
Also included are 4 vocabulary match sheets (answer sheets included).
These match sheets could be used as a quick assessment tool after completing each of the 6 sections (chapters).
Two acrostic templates, "The BFG" and "Sophie" are also included.
Students could use the "Story Book Character Traits" sheet to assist them in completing the acrostics.
