The Boxtrolls Movie Viewing Guide (PG - 2014)

Challenge students to investigate themes of identity, acceptance, and courage with this “The Boxtrolls” movie guide. Discuss the difference between how the Boxtrolls are perceived and their true nature, as well as the importance of standing up for oneself and others. Engage in conversations about Eggs’ journey of self-discovery and the significance of the boxes, cheese, and the red hat as symbols within the film. Reflect on what these symbols reveal about the characters and the society of Cheesebridge. Encourage students to consider the impact of challenging societal norms and the value of empathy and understanding. Through this guide, students will gain insights into the dynamics of character development and the power of individuality.
