The Cratchits: Language Paper 1 Question 4

A lesson based on the Cratchit family in A Christmas Carol but with a language based focus. The lesson explores the AQA Language paper 1, question 4 evaluation question. The full lesson and resources are included. This was aimed for a set 2 Year 10 and including writing an answer it covered 2 lessons.

*This is based on the students having read A Christmas Carol or at least Stave 3; it was an added extra lesson to a Literature programme of study, in which students could be reminded of some language based questions/skills. It could be adapted by giving students an extract from Stave 3 (where the Cratchits are around the fire at Christmas) instead of the suggested quotes which run through all of the section involving the Cratchit family.
