Here are 6 activity sheets to print and use after you’ve read The Elves and the Shoemaker to your students. (The story is not included, but the questions should work for any Brothers Grimm retelling. I used the version that was retold from the Brothers Grimm and illustrated by Jim LaMarche in my classroom.)
1. Comprehension Sheet - This sheet asks students to draw and write about their favorite part and answer some questions related to story.
2. Writing - This page asks students why they think the elves helped the shoemaker. It also asks them what they think might have happened to the elves after they left the shoemaker.
3. Design a Shoe - Students are asked to invent a shoe and describe it.
**4. Story Maps **- 3 Story Maps to choose from.
