Here are some of activities I have made linked to the book ‘The Explorer’ by Katherine Rundell. One is linked to chapter 4; writing a creative poem about the strange living things in the Amazon Rainforest. Another activity is to complete a character study after reading up to chapter 5; pupils must sort the statements based on what they know about the four children. There is also an activity to complete after reading up to chapter 11 when they discover a map.
