The Homesteaders

My dear Reader,

This lesson is the ninth one of set on American West. ; It looks at the Homesteaders in the West of US. It aims to have students matching knowledge on the perils of homesteading and answering exam questions.
All lessons have a same-model structure to get the students taught in a coherent manner, and always understand where they are at in their learning:

First slide- understanding push and pull factors of why people moved to the West to homestead.
Second slide explaining the technological solutions used by homesteaders.
Third slide evaluating the success of homesteading.
All tasks are assessed.
An extension task is completed.
The resources are at the end of the Power Point.
