This case study looks at Danzig, a region created in the Treaty of Versailles which was a point of contention between Poland and Germany. The outbreak of World War 2 was caused by Germany's invasion of Danzig. This two-page resource uses a range of first hand sources including postcards, photographs and propaganda to highlight the significance of this region to the outbreak of war.
