This powerpoint takes pupils through a series of choices where they spend money on upgrading their farm. At the end of each 'year' the pupils work out how much profit they have made and how sustainable they have been.
They do this using paper money, a 'sustainability meter' (coloured lightly in pencil), and adding notes to their sheet.
The amounts of money are quite high (you may need to print a lot depending on class size). And the maths can get a bit tricky (though key stage 3 coped fine with a calculator).
Used during an IDL day on sustainability. This is easily adaptable in terms of the situations, amount of money, options, calculations etc.
I welcome any feedback. Thanks.
