A fully differentiated lesson for the unseen poems used for the EDUQAS WJEC examination in 2015. This is a fantastic lesson to get students to consider how to compare two poems and what they should consider.

I don’t understand why this refers to these specific poems but then continues to lack information on how to compare them, it instead focuses on how to generally compare poems.

Extremely disappointing. At best this is useful as a general approach to comparing two unseen poems. Apart from the picture of lilacs, there is no attempt to engage with the poems themselves. There are no examples for students to pin their ideas on which is essential in a lesson, particularly when students may typically lack confidence in tackling an unseen.
