Upper KS2 Slavery Unit of Work- 8 lessons

These smartboards are complete lessons with a starter, differentiation, main activity and modelling and plenaries. All lessons include all the resources. There is a focus on developing historical skills and using this in 2 genres of writing.

There are 8 lessons based on the subject of slavery and focus on: triangulation trade and summarising key events, interpreting a range of sources linked to middle passage and plantations , letter writing as a slave ( 3 lessons), looking at modern day slavery to draw conclusions before planning and writing a balanced argument on modern day slavery ( 2 lessons)
