Print 1 blank domino mat and 12 hearts for each student. (You can ask your students to cut them themselves).
Description:
- With the help of the flashcards show how hearts are arranged to represent individual numbers (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6)
-Tell students numbers and ask them to arrange as many hearts on their domino mats. - Depending on their level you can teach them how numbers can broken down e.g.
4 (1+ 3, 3+1, or 2+2) or let them discover the different possibilities alone.
