Vikings! - An Introductory Lesson

This first lesson is an introductory lesson that explores the Viking homelands and an overview of their raiding, trading and settling activity throughout Europe with the use of a map activity and class discussions. Basic overview of the geographical features of Scandinavia are mentioned as well as the resources traded by Vikings.

A very visual presentation that can be used alongside other resources easily. This lesson is aimed at a middle to lower ability class. Includes worksheets for activities inside the PowerPoint. An extension activity is included for more able students.
