This lesson has been created to address the AQA Geography A-Level specification. It includes;
- Starter task - crossword style activity to review prior learning AND opportunity for students to demonstrate learning of drainage basin as a systems diagram (this took me 2 lessons to deliver).
- Clear learning objectives and success criteria linked to the specification.
- New information, activities with hyperlinked video clip and additional hand-out (at the end of the PPT) to identify and explain what a drainage basin is and how it can be converted into a systems diagram, with further development of interception, stemflow and the water balance.
- Plenary task to review learning.
- Further reading slide with appropriate hyperlinked web resources.
