This lesson challenges students to explain their understanding of the word terrorism and attempt to define it using their historical knowledge. Activities require to students to explain the stereotypical views of what terrorists like like in modern society and evaluate the causes of these views. A video tasks requires students using graduating questioning to analyse the difference between terrorism and organised crime and evaluate if it is easier to explain what terrorism is not? Students are challenged to explain and evaluate if Terrorism is ever justified, evaluating both sides of the argument and different perspectives in relation to the question in a written task.
