This a fun KS2 -KS3 lesson that compares stereotypes of pirates with the historical reality. It starts with a fun drawing activity and then a scavenger hunt for information about pirates like Edward Teach and Anne Boney. Its fishes off with some discussion comparing the stereotype with reality. I often use as a transition lesson for year 6 students.
