Developing mapping skills of scale, direction, spatial distribution on the fictitious Island of Hirth. This unit provides many opportunities for students to use the basic elements of a map (scale, direction,key/legend, to assist in interpretation activities. There are several attachments which provide the basis for the provision of black and white hard copies for student use. This unit is a "pick up and use" unit.
