This is a resource designed to help lower attaining students and EAL students start expressing and shaping their ideas with more sophistication. I’ve found it really useful to have on desks and ask students to use a sentence stem from a particular box to respond to a question or another student’s comment. It should help them with developing and building on basic ideas by offering alternative interpretations and looking closely at language and structure.
