WRITING AND READING Staff Meeting: Activities for Teaching Reading and Writing (English, INSET)

This pack consists of resources for an hour-long staff meeting which introduces five strategies for improving English skills. In this session, quick and easy activities including reciprocal reading, dictation, language drill, reciprocal reading, precision teaching and dictogloss are clearly explained then demonstrated to staff. Practitioners are then given time at meeting to choose a strategy and plan a session to carry out with pupils. This staff meeting has been tried and tested with a large team of teachers and received glowing feedback.
