This is a short resource designed for Year 1 students to help them understand basic compass directions and the concept of ‘turning’ an object.
I have an extended version of this resource available in my shop, which contains PDF versions of the following documents:
- A help sheet outlining the four main compass directions, definitions of clockwise/anti-clockwise and quarter/half/three-quarter turns, and a worked-out example answer.
- An extended question sheet with more questions to practice and a few challenging word problems
- An answer sheet for teacher use or student consolidation.
